Clockwise Clothing MMX2010
Clockwise Clothing started shipping orders from the MMX2010 Collection on Tuesday and and if you haven’t already placed an order, don’t wait any longer. I’ll admit, I haven’t placed my order YET (I’ll take care of that this week), but I do love the “audacious and energetic feel of Washington D.C’s hip outspoken culture” that is featured on each shirt “by using bold and expressive statements.”
My new favorite tee is “Just Sayin.” Those who know me know that has become a common phrase of mine both spoken and written in the blog! Check out the Spring Catalog below. Ladies, please check out the newest tee to the mix “Over It.” See the description below to understand why we all should love this one. I might have to purchase this one as a gift for some female friends of mine…
Breaking up is normal. Love sucks. Yes, we know. Clear your mind of his face, his kisses, his touch and his scent. This tee reflects the attitudes of many women that have experienced a “bad breakup”. To those that were completely dissatisfied, lied to, fed up, or simply “tired of the same old bullshit” – Enjoy!
A term coined by many to use at the end of something insulting or offensive to take the heat off you when you say it. Frequent usage of this saying can spread its use like a highly aggressive plague, eventually saturating almost all conversations, particularly on the internet. Clockwise puts in work. Just Sayin’
Check out the Spring 2010 Catalog at http://issuu.com/clockwiseclothing/docs/2010 featuring both men and women’s tees.

Cougars Are On The Prowl!
So Friday night I ended up at Zanzibar (please don’t ask me why lol). And to make the night even more interesting, I went with a bunch of guys, so believe me it was a night of pure entertainment.
For those of you don’t know, Zanzibar is a club in SW DC that is known to cater to an older audience. You definitely wouldn’t go if you’re in your twenties (and maybe even in your thirties). You know it’s an “older” crowd when they started playing the cupid shuffle and the party we attended was free before 10pm.
Well let me say the older women didn’t waste any time jumping on the younger men! One of my guy friends I believe met two or three cougars. He did go out there with a mission to find at least one cougar, so I’m proud he was able to talk to at least two! Hmmmm I wonder if he got their numbers. Another friend of mine pulled a 45 year old woman (and she looked GOOD according to the guys).
According to Urban Dictionary, a cougar is an older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man. The cougar can be anyone from an overly surgically altered wind tunnel victim, to an absolute sad and bloated old horn-meister, to a real hottie or milf. Cougars are gaining in popularity — particularly the true hotties — as young men find not only a sexual high, but many times a chick with her shit together.
All I can say is the cougars are on the prowl. They jumped all over the twenty year old guys. You hear about it and see it in celebrity news (i.e. Ashton Kusher and Demi Moore, Halle Berry and ex boyfriend Gabriel Aubry), but it’s so much more entertaining watching friends be entertained by these type of women in person.
So to all my mid-twenty year old females, it looks like we have another barrier to cross in the dating scene: cougars who are going after the same men we are. I’m just sayin…..
When You Like A Friend, Should You Tell??
It’s uncomfortable admitting to someone that you like them, but it’s even more awkward when you tell your friend that you like them. A friend of mine has been friends with this guy Phil for over five years. People always asked her why she never considered dating him, etc. Let’s just say circumstances didn’t allow that to happen, plus she considered him “one of the boys.”
Well recently she started to look at him in a new light. Maybe she did actually like him as more than a friend. But that thought made her extremely uncomfortable and weighed heavy on her heart. She wrestled with the decision to tell him and even consulted with friends to get their opinion. The unanimous decision was to tell him, so that’s exactly what she did. And his response “I hope that doesn’t change our friendship. It shouldn’t be awkward because it won’t be for me.”
Although he said it wouldn’t be awkward, seeing him the next day was extremely awkward for her! She kept her conversation short and made sure she didn’t interact with him too much. Many people would wonder why does she feel awkward if he said things shouldn’t change; but it’s not that simple. And here’s why: she knows that Phil knows how she feels. It’s one thing to like someone and keep that information to yourself. But when they know, every time she sees him she going to think “damn, he knows how I feel about him.”
It also becomes awkward because she doesn’t want to do anything that may overstep her boundaries as his friend and give the wrong impression. At the same time, she can’t stop being the friend she’s always been. Otherwise, he’ll think something’s wrong.
So I pose the question to you, regardless of whether or not they like you, should you take the risk and tell your friend that you like them? Should you take the risk of changing the dynamic of your friendship? I’ve been told, yes because you never know how they feel and/or what could happen in the future. You only live once. What do you think???
Kobe Bryant – All White Everything
Kobe Bryant is featured in this month’s issue of LA Times Magazine and I don’t like his look at all!! He looks extremely feminine and we all know Kobe isn’t that dark. It’s something unsettling about the way he looks in some of these pics!
While I don’t necessarily like the way Bryant looks, I do like the wardrobe by designers Ann Demeulemeester, Kris Van Assche and Adam Kimmel. And who doesn’t love Harry Winston diamonds!

Christina Aguilera Is Back!
Stripped has to be Christina Aguilera’s best album. It’s a classic of the last 10 years and an album that stayed on repeat. Because the songs and videos were so raw, fans felt like they were hearing and seeing the true Aguilera (If you don’t have Stripped, I suggest you change your life and purchase it).
So it’s no surprise that everyone is claiming Aguilera is officially back after viewing her new video “Not Myself Tonight.” The video reminds you of the old Aguilera we saw in “Dirrty,” raw, sexual and not giving a damn. After I saw the video, I thought the same thing, “SHE’S BAAACCCKKKK”.” (Is it just me or is she resembling Lady Gaga in the vides too?)
But the true test to determine if she’s really back isn’t going to be how over the top her video is, it’s going to come down to her music (you would think Ciara would’ve learned this by now…sigh). Aguilera has an amazing voice and it’s about time she came back out with new music. I’m just hoping after seeing the “Not Myself Tonight” video, fans will get to experience the Stripped Aguilera all over again.
Enhance Your Look
Now that spring is officially here, we no longer have an excuse to slack off on how we look and feel. How can you not feel great with the sun is shinning. And now that it’s warm, most likely you’ll be out more often, so you always want to put your best foot forward.
That doesn’t mean you have to be decked out head to toe 7 days a week (to each his/her own), but it does mean that you should look like you’re taking care of yourself.
Here are 5 tips on how to enhance your look for the warm weather months ahead:
1. Get Your Hair Done: I have a friend who is lazy when it comes to getting her hair done. She’ll go months before entering a salon. Now I know salon visits can be expensive, but when you see split ends that are inches long, it’s time to do something about it.
Also, add a new color or get a new cut! That’s one of the most dramatic ways to change your look. Filled with nervousness and excitement, I cut and colored my hair last August and I LOVE IT! I’ll be doing the same thing again this June. Gotta keep them guessing!
2. PEDICURE: This really should be a mandatory requirement when warm weather arrives. If you are going to wear open toe shoes (peep toes, sandals, flip flops), please have your feet done! Ashy heels and extra long toe nails are a beauty faux pas!
3. New Makeup: Don’t purge your entire makeup collection and start over! Add something new to what you already own: new eye shadow, bronzer or lip gloss. A new color for spring is always fun (and so necessary).
4. Make Time to Work Out: Working out makes you feel good and when you feel good, that exudes in the way you express yourself. If you can’t afford a gym membership, take some time to go for a walk or run in the neighborhood. Just participate in a physical activity. Doing this consistently will not only make you feel good, but you’ll look great too!
5. Allow Personal Time: No one looks good when they’re tired and stressed out. Make sure you take some time for yourself to relax. Chill at home watching TV, reading a book, spa day, or take that much needed nap!! Last weekend for the first time in a long time, I didn’t go out on a Saturday night. I stayed home by myself and just watched TV. It was nice to relax and catch up on much needed sleep.
These five tips are sure ways to enhance your look this spring & summer. What are some other ways to enhance someone’s look?
