Ladies, how would you feel if your man started wearing tights? Yes, tights like the ones we wear during the winter season to keep your legs warm?
Fashion sites have been buzzing about a new trend in men’s accessories: mantyhose. According to New York Mag, 2 to 3 percent of annuals sales for hosiery retailer Emilio Cavallini are by men. With the trend rising over the past three years and to cater to demand, Cavallini decided to create unisex tights that allow for greater breathability:
“When we started our online shop we noticed that a lot of tights sized medium-large were being purchased by men. So I did a search on the Internet and discovered there is a cult following for mantyhose.”
According to Clutch Magazine, the retailer claims that men are wearing the pantyhose the same way women do; underneath clothing for an extra layer of protection from the cold or underneath shorts; this looks has been seen on Italian men. Have men not heard of long johns?
It’s one thing for men and women to wear matching hats or shirt, but matching tights? Absolutely not; this is a hot mess! Just like men wearing skinny jeans, these should be off limits for men too!

My husband wears tights with my help and he looks so cute!!!! Hes not good at cordinating his look but after a little help he has never looked better. he now tries to buy color matching clothing And got rid of his “i dont care attitude” and has been much nicer person to be around. funny thing is tights mite just have saved are marrige. ladies!!! You should totaly try this with your man and see if he dosnt start acting like… well… a real man should!!!! Really!!

Skinny jeans and tights off limits to men? Where do you get off! Women have enjoyed liberation for over 30 years. What did women say when they wanted equality to wear pants and suits and have traditionally male jobs like being a CEO of a company or have a trade like being a carpenter, mechanic or driving a truck? Maybe you should go back to being a housewife because women are supposed to be in the kitchen handwashing dishes in their dress. Very backward thinking on your part. It seems women are threatened by the fact that men want also to be free to wear what makes them happy and comfortable. When some men object to women getting in touch with their masculine side it was deemed to sexist. In this day and age I would have thought women to be more openminded. Dont stereotype men to be this one dismensional thing like a steel post that if deviates from this by even wearing a pink t-shirt or skinny jeans for that matter is weird or gay. I have been wearing pantyhose for nearly 40 years, acceptably under jeans etc for warmth,horse riding and because I just like wearing them. I thought why should I hide it like it is something to be ashamed of or makes me wierd or something. Damn it, i wear them with shorts, skin colour and black out in public. I don’t even think about after awhile. Nobody cares or says anything. Never had a negative response from anyone. It;s perfectly normal. How dare you try to dictate to men what is acceptable or not!

Thank you Ryan for your comment! I’m glad you enjoy wearing tights. They work for some and may not work for others but at the end of the day, we’re all entitled to our opinion

Diva, are you just trying to provoke responses? (smiles!) Well, it worked. I have to point out that in the picture at the top of your article, those starry tights look silly on BOTH models. Put them both in some off-black pantyhose, crop the pics below the boobs, and you have two sets of very attractive legs.
