For the 2009 Inaugural balls, First Lady Michelle Obama wore a white Jason Wu gown. This year, she chose a custom ruby colored chiffon & velvet gown from the designer. She paired the gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Kimberly McDonald ring.
2009 Jason Wu Gown:
I think she looks stunning in red!!
What do you think of the First Lady’s look? Which gown do you like?
P.S. Can I experience love like this?!? I’m just sayin…
I’ve declared it a few times on the blog; Jason Wu is one of my favorite designers! For his Pre-Fall 2013 collection, he stepped up the sensual appeal offering a lot of leather options (pants, dresses and shorts) body hugging dresses and red carpet gowns that are sure to turn heads. The collection is perfection!!
With a less than a month to go until the Jason Wu for Target collection is launched, pictures from the look book are FINALLY available for all to view. The collection is made up of mostly dresses and accessories with a few tops and a pair of shorts thrown in the mix. Here are some of my favorites:

Now this is one collaboration I will be standing in line for in February!! Known for designing Mrs. Obama’s inaugural gown, designer Jason Wu is teaming up with Target for a limited collection. The Jason Wu for Target collection will be available in stores February 5, 2012 through March 6, 2012. The collection will feature womenswear, handbags and scarves ranging from $19.99 to $59.99. Talk about affordable!
“My collection for Target embodies my signature aesthetic of feminine sophistication, with a mischievous nod to the 1960s,” Wu says. “I’ve had an incredible experience partnering with Target and I am looking forward to bringing these affordable designs to women across the country.”
I, like so many others, thought Wu’s inaugural gown was gorgeous. However, I fell in love this his designs when I watched his Fall 2011 Collection runway show at New York Fashion Week in March. His pieces are so chic!! I CAN NOT WAIT for this collaboration.
I was first introduced to Jason Wu during the 2009 Inaugural Ball when First Lady Michelle Obama wore his ivory, one shoulder rosette-covered dress. Since then, the fashion world has been going crazy over his designs.
Yesterday Jason Wu premiered his Fall 2011 Collection at New York Fashion Week and the collection is simply AMAZING! The looks are so eloquent. From structured coats and dresses to full length gowns with metallic sequin, there is look in the collection for every occasion.
The Jason Wu Fall 2011 Collection was the best runway show I viewed on Friday. We are only into Day 3 of fashion week, so you still have time to watch the runway shows of your favorite designers streaming live. Visit www.youtube.com/liverunway
