Victoria’s Secret Meets Football Season!

This is the best of both worlds: Victoria’s Secret and football gear!! To all of the ladies who are HUGE football fans, there is now a Victoria’s Secret PINK NFL Collection just for us!!

FINALLY a collection of football attire for women that isn’t pink!! I never understood why teams made their jerseys in pink. All women don’t want to wear pink jerseys. Some of us want to wear the team’s colors in women sizes. But I digress…

The Victoria’s Secret PINK NFL Collection features 13 NFL teams.  The collection includes 3 for $24.99 panties, sweatshirts/pants and t-shirts. Although I have no problem rocking my oversized Santana Moss jersey (GO SKINS), I’ll definitely have to invest in some PINK football gear for the season!

Plus Size Lingerie Not Sexy for ABC & Fox

From Clutch Magazine:

Plus-size retailer, Lane Bryant says ABC and Fox didn’t want to air the label’s new Cacique line of lingerie.

Lane Bryant took to their “Inside Curve” blog complaining that “ABC and Fox have made the decision to define beauty for you by denying our new, groundbreaking Cacique commercial from airing freely on their networks.”

The brand alleges ABC restricted their airtime and refused to air the spot during “Dancing with the Stars”. Although Fox News calls out ABC on it’s restrictions, Lane Bryant says Fox “demanded excessive re-edits ad rebuffed it three times before relenting to air it during the final 10 minutes of “American Idol”, but only after we (Lane Bryant) threatened to pull the ad buy.”

The retailer calls to question the racy Victoria Secret ads both networks air regularly asking “does this smack of a double standard?”

Move Over Victoria Secret: Keva by Keva J.

Last week, BET’s Rip The Runway showcased the Keva by Keva J. Spring Swimsuit collection.  Most of the designers featured showcased clothing, so it was refreshing to see a swimsuit designer.  Now I know there are a number of swimwear designers out there, but of course the first one that comes to my mind and the mind of so many is Victoria Secret (probably because they are in my price range when they go on sale).  But for those of us who want to try a different, but just as sexy, brand (designer), definitely check out Keva by Keva J.   Talk about FIERCE!! Heads will definitely turn when you walk down the beach in these suits!

Here are some of my favorites from Rip The Runway:

Victoria Secret Swim 2010!!

My girls and I went out to happy hour last week and we came up with a list of trips we wanted to take this year.  Of course half of those trips were to places where a swimsuit will be required.  We can always go in our drawer and pull out swimsuits we’ve worn in the past, but just like you purhcase a new outfit for an occassion, a new swimsuit for the year is a must as well.  And how exciting is it that the Victoria Secret Swim 2010 Collection is out!!!
The one-piece/monokini style has become a favorite style of mine from Victoria Secret.  They have a way to make the one-piece very sexy, more appealing than the 2 piece.  Here are some of my favorites:

"Red Carpet" Slashed One-Piece

"Very Sexy" Cut out twist one-piece

"Very Sexy" Wireless Push-Up Monokini

"Luli Fuma" MultiPrint CutOut Monokini
