The film sheds light on the experiences of light skin women, stereotypes associated with lighter skin and the hashtags #teamlightskin versus #teamdarkskin that are popular on social media.

Check out a few clips from the documentary below which features interviews from Raven Symoné, Kym Whitley, Essence Atkins, Chante Moore, Keke Wyatt and more:

Hopefully these documentaries will shed light on the issue of colorism that continue to plague our community, encourages us to shift our behavior towards each other and inspires us to love the skin we are in. The documentary airs on Monday, January 19th at 9 pm. EST on OWN. Will you be tuning in?
