A Diva State of Mind

I know I know, I’m suppose to be talking about Spring and Summer fashions but this sweater is too cute!!  This is a great piece to wear while we transition between season.  If you don’t want to wear a Spring jacket, this is a great sweater to throw on instead.

I absolutely love linen wide leg pants for the summer. They are very versatile: you can wear them with flats or dress them up with wedges for a casual night out on the town.

Fun & Flirt! Need I say more.  This is a great dress for a fun night out.  There are enough parties going on in the summertime that a new dress is ALWAYS going to be needed!

Patterns are a major Spring/Summer 2010 trend this season, so it’s only appropriate that alice + olivia offer this black and white striped skirt.  Very cute look!!!

 We seldom hear about high fashion designers invading DC to show off their new collections, so I was surprised when I heard that CHANEL will be in town to showcase their Spring 2010 Ready- To-Wear collection. 

On Thursday at Neiman Marcus, CHANEL will showcase its Spring 2010 Shoe Collection followed by the CHANEL Spring 2010 Ready-To-Wear collection on February 12^th and 13^th.  According to the BET post, this year’s spring collection will highlight “tweed suits, flirty chiffon and clogs.” WAIT, did I just say clogs; really a throwback to the early 90s? I mean, I know things are coming around full circle, but some things need to stay in the past. I definitely will have to go see how Lagerfeld turns clogs into high fashion! Ok I digress…. 

If you’re like me and can’t make it to fashion week in NYC, definitely take the time to check out the CHANEL Ready-To-Wear trunk show.  I’m definitely going if anyone wants to join me!   I’ve never been to a trunk show and it’s the closest I’ll get to a high-fashion fashion show! (Please believe, there will be a follow up to this post! I want to see these clogs in person…just saying)
